Just received a new custom Pentel PG5 from Lindsay Wilson. The second shot is with the first pencil I got from him, just before his Kickstarter completed.

Nice! I had him create a metal cap for one of my pd505s which is basically a Quicker Clicker with a metal barrel. They come stock with plastic nose and eraser caps.

The one in the front has the metal cap that Lindsay did for me.

@sideKnocks (atxalais) does the 505 have the same shape as the 345 - slightly bulging around the clicker or is is totally straight the entire length?

*Thread Reply:* Looks like it does have the bulge. Which makes sense because you need it to fit the clicker hinge or the internals can’t be put in.

*Thread Reply:* If you ever decide to take the clicker out, I’d love a picture of the opening. Not sure if you have or not, but they come right out if squeezed and pulled up. Not that I’m asking you to do this - but if you happen to want to, that’s cool. 😆

New Spoke 6 Black-Red-Black arrived in the mail this morning.

Yes and No. Yes, in that it is not produced by Pentel and is produced by Brian Conti. No in that it is a production line custom.

Nice, I’m hoping to see one in my stocking this year.

It may be that I end up with another one in my stocking this year as well.

I haven't gotten the 6 yet.

But now I'm thinking about getting that black and red one. Normally I wouldn't get that colorway cuz I'm tired of rOtring but it really does look good.

Is Lindsay engraving IJ Instruments into the body of his pencils yet? If so that'll make me acquire another No 9. How crazy is that.

I still need to pick up an IJ, but I will need to come up with a different tip section before I can pull the trigger

P20X tip is too long and essentially guarantees slippage

Yes, he is now engraving IJ Instruments with his laser on his pencils.

I should send some of mine back to him 🙂

Nest to the clicker

Lindsey laser engraved a little logo into my IJs also... I'll post a pic later today.

He used a basic jpeg I sent to him. He had to do a few test runs and very slight alterations to the thickness to optimise it and it came out really clear. Highly recommended if you're interested.

@sideKnocks (atxalais) is this a tooling mark?

That last one is nice

Someone else got one made that I think had the standard 6 sides, and I asked him for a 12 sided version. Where the black is rubbing off looks great.

My favorite p200s are the retro with the rubbed off paint. I love that look.

In the guitar world we call that “relic”.
